Motion as explanation

The purpose of motion is continuity. When an element moves, it should answer a question: where did this come from, and how does it relate to what I just did?

Speed matters. Animations that linger feel sluggish; ones that snap feel cheap. The right timing is almost invisible.

Restraint, again

Animate the few transitions that carry meaning, and leave the rest still. Motion is loudest when it’s rare.
